David Abels is a serial entrepreneur and inventor who lives in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill (The Triangle) region of North Carolina, who holds a B.A. in accounting and an M.A. in journalism and is the majority member and the president of Four Strong IP. The company designs, develops, sells, and licenses intellectual property under the slogan, “Where innovation comes to life.™”
While working for a B2B advertising and public relations agency in 2006, David began the business born from his passion for inventing with The Mommy Hook stroller hanger, which became one of most popular stroller accessories with international distribution.
The Mommy Hook was licensed and sold to former business partners for an undisclosed amount in a purchase agreement that included more than 20 patents and trademarks. The product continues to sell hundreds of thousands of units a year 15 years after its initial release.
